Unlike
the Smartcast and similar 'duck' type units which have a 90 degree beam,
the Graphic Echo has a 20 degree beam angle allowing it to accurately
map the bottom. It can pick out the important features which other systems
cannot. The Smartcast can give you an average depth but this is about
all it can do. If you're serious about feature finding then the answer
is obvious...
