The Digital Battery Meter (DBM) is a sophisticated meter using a complex computer algorithm which loads and interrogates the battery to discover accurately, how much capacity remains available. Plugging an ordinary multimeter into a baitboat which is not running in water to work out the state of a battery is next to useless - a pointless exercise. A battery must be under consistent load to enable its true capacity to be measured. Failure to do so may provide a false sense of security...and a drifting boat.
